Hi Bonnie,
Sorry I didn't reply to your post, but I haven't been on the blog in ages. By now I know you have the date and time of the party and we have the final list of attendees.
Christmas Party information:
The party will be Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 5:00pm at the Roanoker. We have a room reserved and expect 42 people. We know that some of you have conflicts and can't attend. You will be missed. We hope to see you at the Siler picnic next June.
Family News:
Most of you probably know that Phyllis and Junior have moved into Friendship Manor in Roanoke. Please contact me at silerpugs@yahoo.com for address and phone number information. They are in a room together, which I'm sure they are happy about.
Mary Catherine has bought a condo on Cape Cod and moved in last month. She's really excited to finally have her own place. Please contact me for her address and new email address. I'm sure she'd love to hear from family members. She is talking about attending either the picnic or Christmas party next year!
Jim and Lori moved to Los Angeles earlier this year. His freelance TV sound business is thriving and Lori has a good job, so they're doing well. Their email addresses haven't changed and I know they'd like to hear from you. Shain and her boyfriend Mark flew out for Thanksgiving and Lori's niece's Bat Mitzvah.
I'm scheduled for surgery at Duke on January 9. It will be my fourth and final surgery over the past two years. I have been very pleased so far. I feel better than I have in 15 years!
The blog has been kind of silent for awhile. Hopefully, the family will get more active and post updates on their "doings".
Billy and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year.
Love, Billy & Pat

Another Grandbaby :)
David received two week leave in March and Katie found out before he returned to Iraq that she is expecting. The new arrival should be here in December but David will not return home until Feb. 2009. Please pray for his safety and Katie's many needs during his absence. Katie is expected to travel to Virginia May 2nd because Amber graduates May 17th. Katie currently has her grandparents (dad's parents) visiting. They arrived by bus and will keep her company until she drives to VA. Amber will be returning to Texas with her and Chris and I plan a trip to Texas at the end of June to retrieve Amber and visit Katie. I'm tired just thinking about it.
I'm planning a graduation party for Amber on Sunday May 18th. Anyone wishing to come is welcome. Just let me know if you plan to attend so I can have plenty of food. It will be at our home and the time would be around 2 pm.

Hello Everyone,
No boggers on here for so long!!! Where is everyone?
I want to let everybody who knows my friend, Debbie Camden that she is near death. Hospice is with her and has been for a couple of weeks. The nurse says that her heart rate and blood pressure is elevated and that is a sign of organ failure. They have her on morphine because she is in great pain with her back. They are not sure if it is the cancer back in her spine or just the brain tumor pressing on her spinal nerves. She is asleep most of the time. She is not in a coma but they expect she will be. Just pray for her mom and dad, Olan and Janet Campbell, and her kids, Joshua, Julie, Jessica, Jordyn and for her ex-husband Ron. This has been hard 2 weeks with many more ahead I am certain. I talked to Jessica this morning and she had spoken with her grandma last evening and things were the same as when I had spoken with her Monday evening. Debbie and I have been friends for 25 years and it's been really hard to see her go through this. It will be hard to let her go but I know she is ready.

Thank you!
I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers for us during my mother's final illness and death. It means a lot! Mom was the best mother a daughter could ask for and I'll miss her. But I also know she was more than ready to go and that God was waiting for her with open arms. I was blessed that we arrived in time and I was holding her hand when she died. She was unconscious but seemed to know that I was there.
Thank you also for the flowers, cards and those of you who signed the online guestbook.
God Bless!
